Studied at the Georgia Institute of Technology, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture in 1956, and a Certificate from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1957. After working several years for local architectural firms and being employed for three and one-half years by a real estate developer in Atlanta as its in-house architect, went into the private practice of architecture in 1962, first as an individual, then in partnership, and subsequently as Warren Epstein & Associates, Architects, Inc., since February 1978. He is registered to practice architecture in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and North Dakota; and is registered by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Professional society memberships include the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Construction Specification Institute (CSI), National Trust for Historic Preservation, Interfaith Forum on Religion, Art and Architecture (IFRAA), American Arbitration Association (AAA), and the Southern Building Code Congress International.
